This plot has added Seaweed. Seaweed was used a fertiliser for hundreds of years by coastal communities in Ireland. It was brought from the coast and combined to create a surface layer in which crops could be grown. The use of seaweed as a fertiliser declined in Ireland with the availability of cheap and 'easier' options. Could we re-direct more of our natural resources to sustaining our soil?
